GUWAHATI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16/03/18 said that schemes are being formulated by his government to address the special needs of Northeast India. Modi, who was in Manipur to participate in a programme marking the one-year completion of the BJP-led government said, “Last year I told you what the Congress government could not do in last 15 years my govt. would do in 15 months.
He said, The BJP-led government has done more work for North-East in less than 15 months.
He further said, Northeast is the new engine for India’s development story.
The prime minster said now seven out of eight states were connected by rail network and projects are underway to connect the remaining state capitals, including Imphal.
